Message	to the ECU. The engine does not get a coolant temp reading from any other location on the engine. The temp gauge sender next to the coolant sensor is a seperate signal to the dash gauge. I would not remove the coolant temp sensor and replace it with the Defi gauge sender to run the new gauge or splice into that wire. If anything you might explore tapping the signal from the temp sending unit wire. ZUL8TR in Orlando,FL
